Daddy's Ironman Race

Allen has had his heart set on completing an Ironman Race for quite some time.  And, if Allen puts his mind to something, no doubt it WILL happen.  So we loaded up the troops and headed to Lawrence, Kansas to cheer him on!
The gang was all ready for the drive!

Stocking up on Ironman swag.
We had to wake everyone up at 3:30 in the morning to make it to the race in time for Allen to get all checked in.
Transition #1

Obviously the baby was less than thrilled about being up so early.

All racers have to wear a tattoo with their number.

Braedyn was so excited to cheer on Daddy!

Coming out of the water

Getting ready for the bike

About to hop on his bike!

Pushing through the run!

Braxtyn was catching up on those zzzz's he missed!

Crossing the finish line...like a BOSS!

Our Ironman!
We could not be any prouder of Daddy! 70.3 miles!!!!

San Antonio/Austin Triathlon

For Memorial Day, we packed up and headed to San Antonio with Emily and David.  First up, was some fun at Schiltterbahn! While we all had a blast swimming and riding the water roller-coasters (in the freezing cold water I might add), Allen and Braedyn decided they wanted to add a little more danger to the trip.  Danger in the form of the SKYCOASTER!

Here are the boys getting suited up.

Then they boarded the lift that would take them up to be hoisted into the sky.

And, then they were hoisted!

And, let go at the TOP!

I
It is hard to tell how high they were, but they were HIGH!!!

The next day it was time to get Daddy all checked in for his Olympic Triathlon in Austin.  Honey and Sashi had the big kids, so the baby got a little alone time with Mommy and Daddy.

 All checked in!

Time to carb load with the BIGGEST pizza EVER!
The next morning it was RACE TIME!
Getting ready in transition.
All ready to race!
Emily and David came to cheer him on!

Out of the water and on to the bike!

Cruising along on the bike.

He DID IT! We are so proud of Daddy!
It was time to celebrate on the way home with a large chocolate shake from Whataburger!

We had such a fun weekend, that we might just make it a Memorial Day tradition!

Race to End CANcer

After a fun day watching Emily try on her wedding dress, it was time for some racing! The baby had spiked a high fever, so he and mommy were at the walk-in-clinic and didn't get to join in the fun.  But, the big kiddos did an AWESOME job racing!
Brookelyn with her favorite running buddy, Aunt Emily!

Daddy and his side-kicks!
Can't wait until CANcer is cured everywhere, but until then, we will keep racing to raise money to find that cure!

Brookelyn's (EARLY) Birthday Party

Since Brookelyn started school, we have her birthday party early.  It is hard to get all her friends together over the summer, and this year we will actually be in Las Vegas for Dance Nationals on her birthday.  Brookelyn decided she wanted to invite just a few girls to a special dinner at Shogun, and then have those girls spend the night.
All the girls dressed up in special dresses!

They couldn't wait to get things started at the restaurant!

Quick, sassy pose

The family came to celebrate too!
After a wonderful dinner, it was time to go home for some sleepover fun!
Brookelyn gave all the girls matching pjs!

Aren't they adorable?!
They had a blast together!
The next morning Braxtyn had plenty of babysitters to help him eat!
I love how he is looking at the girls like they are CRAZY!
Of course, Daddy had to work a little firework fun into the day! He popped a huge confetti cannon over all the girls!
Brookelyn is growing into such a caring, kind, and smart young lady.  We couldn't be more proud!

Mother's Day 2014

Mother's Day 2014 was amazing! It started with Braedyn spoiling me with a wonderful Mother's Day Tea at school.

He wrote all about me!

Couldn't love these three any more!
Over the weekend we were able to all get together for some yummy crepes on the square.

Had to get one crazy pose in!
It was fun to have everyone together!
Allen spoiled me even further with a spa day! It was the perfect gift! Thank you for making Mother's Day so special!

Braedyn Turns SIX!

Our handsome (not so little) man turned six on May 12th! So hard to believe! We couldn't be more proud of the sweet, funny, basketball playing dude he has grown in to!
Those dimples and that smile make my heart melt every time!
We woke Braedyn up with the traditional birthday streamers.

This year, Braedyn picked to celebrate with a pool party at a nearby hotel.  He invited all his friends from school and had Daddy and Uncle David spend the night with him.
Check out that cookie cake!
His friends were all so sweet!
These guys helped him open his gifts.
Later in the week, on his actual birthday, Mommy made a special trip up to school to bring him a birthday lunch!

We LOVE YOU B-man!
