Brookelyn's 1st "Ride"

For Brookelyn's 3rd Birthday, her Uncle Jacky decided to royally spoil her! He bought her something I always wanted when I was a little girl, a Barbie Jeep--one that she can REALLY drive! Both kids cannot get enough of it, so we took them to get their pictures made in it. Thanks Uncle Jacky!!

Ice Cream Evening

Yesterday, after a long day of running errands, we came home, stripped down the kids, and gave them each their own ice cream cone. What a perfect summer evening!

Bouncing Brookelyn

Brookelyn finished up her last tumbling class (until the fall) this week. She had a great time, but I think it made her even more fearless--if that is possible. You can tell she is in a class with kids 3 and under by all the "excitement" going on! Enjoy the two videos:

More Fun From This Weekend...

Here are a few more pictures from Brookelyn's Birthday Weekend...
Here is Brookelyn gardening with all her new gardening tools (Thanks Grandma)!

These two pictures are of the kids at the shoe store. We were shopping for new tennis shoes for Honey and Sashi--as you can see the kids had a great time!

Here is Brookelyn as Ariel (the mermaid) eating candy in the bathtub. You had to be there!

This is my FAVORITE! Here is a video of B Man almost falling asleep in his highchair--Honey REALLY wore him out!

HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY BROOKELYN!!

We are so excited that Brookelyn turns 3 today! We already started celebrating on Saturday with her birthday party at Bounce Town. She and her friends all had a blast! Then, we came home and let her open some of her presents from Honey and Sashi, Aunt B, Aunt Tata and ACE, and Mommy and Daddy. Here is a little slide show so you can get a glimpse into her day:

And, here are a few more of our favorite pictures...

Happy 4th of July!

We took the kids to KaBoom Town last night in Addison. They LOVED the show and managed to stay up until about 10:00 when they both conked out during the grand finale!! Today Allen took them and got them a bunch of fireworks to play with. We did some before bathtime, and then after Braedyn went to bed we took Brookelyn back outside to do a few more. What a great holiday weekend!

Playtime this AM

This morning when I was making breakfast Brookelyn and Braedyn were playing in the living room. Braedyn wanted Brookelyn's baby, so I gave him his own. He was so cute patting and hugging on it. The next thing I know he has dropped it and began toddling off. Then Brookelyn, holding her baby, says, "Wait! Joesph come back! Mary needs you!" I looked at her and said, "What?" She said, "I need Joesph! Bring him back over here!" How cute is that? I guess more than I realized has been rubbing off on her at school!

Belated Father's Day Photo Shoot!

One of Allen's Father's Day gifts was a surprise photo shoot with the kids. It was supposed to be on Father's Day, but the only female photographer (Brookelyn will only "tolerate" girl photographers) came down with pneumonia so we had to push his surprise to yesterday. The kids did a good job, and although Allen wasn't jumping up and down at the idea of getting his picture made, he was really happy with the way the picture turned out!

Swimming Lessons Week Two

When I signed Brookelyn up for swim lessons I thought the classes were for one week--SURPRISE MOM--they are actually for TWO WEEKS...every day..on school days...on tumbling days...on ballet days...on days that Braedyn also has swim lessons...and of course on days that I have to run between 4 and 8 miles in the evening for our marathon training!

However, I do have to say that I have been so proud at the progress Brookelyn is making. She will blow bubbles in the water, jump in to her teacher, float on her back, open her eyes underwater, and loves to participate so much that she always wants to go first.

These two little videos do not do her justice--it is very hard to film with a nap boycotting, squirming, sunscreen-oiled up, little godzilla in your arms!

Here is Brookelyn kicking to the wall--on her previous turn she was putting her face in the water and blowing bubbles, but on that turn I lost the camera battle with godzilla.

Here the teacher is beginning to teach the kids how to put their different skills together rather than just using them in isolation.

Happy Father's Day!

Brookelyn and Braedyn are blessed with the BEST DADDY in the WHOLE world (even if we are a little biased)! Here are Daddy and Brookelyn, the first day he met her......and Daddy and Braedyn shortly after Daddy's second little Razorback was born.

Can you tell he was already mush around them?!
Well, Happy Father's Day to all the proud Daddy's out there! Allen and I wish we could have spent the day with our Dads, but since we couldn't I helped Brookelyn and Braedyn wish Allen a special day! After laying by the pool, shopping, and lunch we came home and played in the sprinkler--can you tell the kids had a BLAST!?

BRAEDYN DIDN'T WANT TO LET THE MOWER GO!

ENJOYING THE REFRESHING SPRINKLER!

DADDY WAS MODERATING, AS BOTH KIDS GOT A LITTLE ROUGH!

BROOKELYN DECIDED TO WASH BRAEDYN'S CAR!
SHE LOVES HER DORA SPRINKLER--THANKS TATA!
